IVFers: 1 year, 10 months agoWell ladies many thanks for the support and prayers; we got a surprise today at the clinic when our RE informed us the third one decided to come to life, I joked that it takes after my procrastinating husband lol, the other two take after me, down to business straight out of the shoot. So we lucked out with a three embryo transfer and are now on the 2ww.

Doctor stated on or about 27th or 28th, fingers crossed, Im so curious to see, I dont know whats the hardest the process or the 2ww. The good thing is as soon as they did the transfer my body responded with relief from the abdominal pain and bloating.

I had my last visit yesterday with the RE and we are 12-17 healthy follies but may have lost 3 due to size of over 20mm, which is no big deal but he said they still may be viable with eggs.

Ty Mayce, well of all eggs collected 6 were great, some were not mature and some we lost to over maturity, but the doctor said with my age at 39 it was a better result than he expected, so we will know by tomorrow if the transfer is tuesday or wednesday, fingers crossed. IVFers: 1 year, 10 months agoWell, I am sad to report that my 2nd IVF cycle was a BFN. DH andI are wildy disappointed. Our doctor believes we would be best to move to using an egg donor or surrogate, but we are not sure if we want to go either route yet.
We are taking a vacation and heading to Italy for 10 days and hopefully that will give us some good mind cleaning time…[Read more]-
My DH andI are one of those cases that would bring a clinic down. I can’t fault the clinic for anything at all, as my FSH levels ruled on my unsuccessfulness.

Mostly tired! Thought I was going to miss out on morning sickness but it reared it’s ugly head this morning. Hoping it doesn’t get too bad. When do you leave for Italy? I was in Venice 2 years ago and it was amazing. Whre all do you plan to visit?

IVFers: 1 year, 11 months agoRetrieval done: They were able to retrieve 8 good looking ones, which is fantastic since last cycle was a bust due to poor response to the meds. Crossing my fingers that these lil guys grow, grow, GROW!

IVFers: 2 years agoHi everyone. Sorry for being MIA. Finally starting my 2nd round of IVF. Took off a month because we moved do to DH’s new job. A new home, a new state, a new RE and hopefully a new chapter in my life.
I go in on Wednesday for some bloodwork with my new RE. Will post with news from that.

IVFers: 2 years agoSo I go next Friday for my first consult with the Boston IVF clinic…. any suggestions of things to ask? I want to go in there with a list so that I do not forget to ask anything at $350 a consult I can’t afford to forget something.

Jules, did the doctor do a complete work up on your husband? Mine has varicocele too and his urologist said that can contribute to male infertility issues. I’m sorry that I don’t remember all of the details of your infertility journey. You said that you’ve be TTC for 3 years. Did you do IUIs first?

I am not sure what all is included in a complete work ups for males he went to the urologist and he has the varicocele on one testicle only and he has had 3 semen analysis in the last year and a half and 1 was normal and the other 2 the motility was very low, which is caused by the varicocele. We didn’t do the surgery yet because he’s had some other health problems and it isn’t a medical priority at this time. But my doctor did put him on these high potency male prenatal vitamins which made a huge difference in his sperm count. IVFers: 2 years, 3 months agoFeeling better now. Needed to get some air from such a major let down. We’re not sure what we are going to do next, but we did decide to take a little get away for a few days this month. Haven’t told my family about the IVf as we wanted to keep it private. I’m thankful I have ”here” to at least share some of it. So thanks again to all of you.
